On this balance patch, we’ve made some important adjustments to some characters which will make their contribution to the game more balanced and we also adjusted the knockback attribute which required tweaking the upgrade curve, weapon play styles, and weapon rarity.

 

Character Balance

 

Frank, the Elephant

Frank is just too strong. We made adjustments that should keep the same playstyle and strategies viable but will make fighting against him less daunting.

 

  • Frank Shotgun damage from 400 to 350
  • Frank Shotgun cooldown from 4 to 5
  • Frank Air Pull airGunTravelTime from 0.8 to 1.0
  • Frank Air Pull range from 15 to 12
  • Frank Air Pull width from 10 to 6
  • Frank HP from 1900 to 1750

 

Betsy, the Beaver

Betsy was able to survive in conditions that seemed a little unfair, so we reduced her self-healing skills and made her weapons more balanced in relation to other long-range characters.

 

  • Betsy max barriers from 4 to 3
  • Betsy spear knockback from 30 to 15
  • Betsy spear damage from 600 to 550
  • Betsy bow radius from 7 to 6
  • Betsy’s passive skill healing when from 50% to 35% of log’s maximum health
  • Betsy’s active skill cooldown when from 3s to 5s

 

Ollie, the Panda

Ollie is receiving a small tweak to his spear knockback due to all the adjustments we’re making to the whole knockback balance.

 

  • Ollie Spear Knockback changed from 20 to 25

 

CUR Knockback and Range

 

In order to make the weapon attributes more noticeable and relevant, this new balance increases the maximum values of Knockback and Range upgrades. This also makes their gameplay contribution closer to what the removed items used to grant (Nitro Bow, Nitro Spear, Nitro Shotgun, Knockback bomb, Knockback Spear). Keep in mind that although the value range is wider, it will not break the character’s archetype (short-range characters will still reach less than the average sniper throughout the character’s progression, for example)

Bow Focus Shot & Spear Focus Shot Knockback

In conjunction with the Character Upgrade balance changes to the Knockback attribute curve, the main sniper weapons (Bow Focus Shot and Spear Focus Shot) will have their initial Knockback slightly reduced.

 

Shelly, Pepper, Ollie, Fuzzy, Lizzy, Donna and Milo:

Bow initial Knockback changed from 40 to 35

 

Milo and Yara:

Spear initial Knockback changed from 40 to 35

 

Weapon Knockback Rarity Modifier

Starting now, the weapon rarity will influence the knockback of some weapons, similar to the Range, Damage, and Cooldown attributes. Rarity won’t influence Melee spears, Shotguns, Bow Rapid-fire, and Bow Arrow rain. Basically, weapons that don’t rely on knockback won’t be affected.

 

Here are the values of rarity multiplier in relation to the Legendary weapon:

Iron: 77% of Legendary value

Bronze: 80% of Legendary value

Silver: 83% of Legendary value

Gold: 90% of Legendary value

Legendary: 100%

The following characters’ Bombs will start using the rarity multiplier:
